𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 (𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩)!

Like many babies, Galen’s birth did not go exactly according to plan. A few factors were at play that led to him getting “jammed up” making his way into this world, which led to intervention after intervention.

Soon enough this beautiful baby boy and his strong, courageous family found their way to the Level 3 NICU where Galen was put on a machine in order to help his tiny and lungs circulate blood, and receive oxygen… as the stress he endured during that birth intervention inhibited these functions from keeping up on their own.

The doctors there confidently told Galen’s parents that his life was likely to be full of sickness, seizures, developmental delays, and medication dependency. Following their gut, Galen’s parents turned to a different set of Doctors hoping for a different perspective and different plan. And that is exactly what they got, and then some!

He started receiving gentle, nervous system calming adjustments ASAP to get his body out of survival mode and before they knew it, Galen was defying all the expectations. Eating better, moving better, smiling more, making  contact, etc.

Galen made his way out of the NICU, but the best was yet to come!! They kept up with his adjustments and care at PWC, and they put their trust in our Doc Team, and their experience in helping kids not just survive but 𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙄𝙑𝙀!

And that is exactly what Galen has continued to do! He’s defied all expectations that his start to life initially set upon him, and he just keeps on smiling, crawling, walking, and playing his way through life – now even saying his first words!!

This handsome little avocado eating dude gives the best hugs, has the best smiles, and the very best future ahead of him.
