Micah’s Miracle ✨
Initially, Crystal’s pregnancy with their first child, Micah, progressed uneventfully. However, at 35 weeks, additional monitoring showed cause for concern. A high-risk doctor was consulted, and after a whirlwind appointment, Crystal was told she needed an emergency C-section. It wasn’t what they’d planned, but Micah’s health came first.
Micah entered the world looking perfect, but an MRI revealed he was missing a key brain connector, the corpus callosum. Suddenly, their dreams for Micah’s future seemed uncertain. 😕 They had envisioned a life filled with typical childhood experiences, college adventures, and, eventually, his own family. However, the neurologist’s grim prognosis offered little hope for Micah’s future, which became a catalyst for their parenting journey.
Determined not to accept the poor outlook, they explored various therapies and eventually discovered pediatric chiropractic through a friend. Micah struggled with immune challenges, ear infections, and sleep issues. After starting chiropractic care, Micah quickly began sleeping better, 💤 those pesky ear infections disappeared, and they finally felt they were on the right path to offer him the best health and developmental support possible.
Micah started hitting milestones they once thought impossible: crawling, more babbling, and even taking his first steps! His sleep and immune health continued to improve, and Micah has kept making progress, exceeding expectations on his own perfect timeline. They are hopeful for many more milestones ahead!
Fast forward to today – Micah is 13, thriving, and spreading joy. 😁 Although the journey hasn’t been easy, it has strengthened their family bond. In a world where many special needs parents face separation, they stick together, supported by their community and a whole lot of love.
Micah’s transformation through chiropractic care inspired Dr. Matt to become a Pediatric chiropractor on a mission to share the transformational power of pediatric chiropractic care. 💪🏻 His experience as Micah’s dad gives him a deep understanding of what parents face and a strong purpose to help families with their biggest struggles! And we are so blessed to have him right here at PWC!
